I just want to let you know that i think women who do this are so strong!!!!!!!! My cousin did it and even though we have never gotten along. In fact, we are not speaking. I am secretly very proud of her finishing her bachelors degree and now owning her first home and she did it by herself. With having four kids. I hope I have the same strength as she does because i am going to school and working full time at the end of january. I am scared sh!tless!! The only thing is don't have kids. But i am still worried.

You will be fine!!! Women have an enormous amount of strength. I went to school full time, worked in a management position, and raised a disabled child on my own--literally--my closest family was 2000 miles away. We are given a gift from God that allows us to persevere and be successful when given the opportunity. You will be fine--be confident in your abilities, and be thankful that you are woman--statisically women are stronger mentally and emotionally than men--it is a proven fact!! You will succeed and do wonderfully in life!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Well I don't work or go to school. But my husband is in the Army and will be out of station until June. I have a ten month old daughter and am pregnant with a second child (boy). I am due May 5th, and it looks like I may be doing all of this alone. I live with relatives but they are gone most of the time and so I have to manage the entire house and cook. It's tough work and they say that caring for a baby is like having two full time jobs -just imagine doing it while pregnant and tired!

So to answer your question, it is tough work in general to be a mother. I doubt that I could work and study while alone with my children but I certainly admire the person who is strong enough to handle it. But at the same time it is important for a child to have lots of family around them as they are growing. This is why I live with my family members because I want my kids to have a family balance while my husband is away.
