No, I would instead bring you applications to fill out from stores and companies that hire people. Personally I feel if a person is not interested in taking the proper steps to find a job (filling out applications, "pounding the pavement", going to places in person), then they do not deserve one.

I live in New Orleans and all the time I see guys on the corners with signs reading "Will work for food" yet the McDonald's across the street from them reads "Now hiring, $10- $15 dollars starting pay". (Due to hurricane Katrina, we have problems getting people to work due to lack of people returning and due to lazy people who did return).

So if someone is willing to sit on their behind with a sign, and not fill out that application for a good paying job, then they do not deserve to get a job.

Same with you- if you do not take the proper steps to find a job, you can not expect people to just hand one to you.

You would strike me as a shady or unsavory character even if you are not. That is due to the fact that you will not take the usual way of finding a job. So my mind would go into these thoughts
1. Does he/she maybe have mental issues to resort to this?
2. Is he/she a stable personality?
3. Was he/she really rejected by everybody that she has to do this?

I'm shocked to find out that the Poverty threshold (2004) is 9400.00 dollars, so theoretically you could actually live on $20,000 a year.
The short answer is; no, I wouldn't hire you. I have enough "groupies".
