Will 2007 be the year that the media in general gets serious about female abuse in relationships? Men who actually decide to open out and admit the situation he is in will often be sneered at, and told 'Well...you lot don't get it often. Lasses still get 99.5% of beatings and abuse...and some of us die.'
Another argument is that men are 'getting a bit of their own medicine' - and so men who are least likely to even raise voice, let alone hand tend to be the fall guys.
Will abuse be seen as abuse...in time to come and not 'separated' as 'male & 'female'.

Just read your write-up, Splee...you say you're an 'observer' - me, to, I'm afraid. Wrote the question because a friend of mine just before Christmas was ridiculed for 'running back to mother' after she not only embarrassed him in a restaurant, but screamed out loud when he held her arms, telling her to wake up...a young man, eager to impress the woman thumped friend in the face...when the police arrived, the youth told them he was
'defending himself'. Neither men were arrested, but matey's partner was immediately rushed to surgery in tears. After four years, he got on train to mum's down in Ipswich...but has become a 'laughing stock' now. Happy new year, Pete...
