Hot air rises.Therefor cooler air outside of the shower gets drawn in creating a venturie effect.Hence the shower curtain trying to make love to you.

Indeed, it is. I think it has to do with the difference in temperature from outside the door.
I've found that if I put a towel on the bottom of the door frame to block the draft from coming in, the curtain won't come towards me as much. Stops it almost completely.

also, surface tension of water makes it want to stick. most shower curtains come with magnets in the bottom to stick the curtain to the tub. barring that, try sticky back velcro.
