I am looking into grad schools in the UK and I keep seeing MSc Degrees, they also call them "Taught Masters". What does that mean? What is the U.S. equivalent to an MSc? I'm so confused! Thanks!

Well M.Sc stands for Masters in Science.

I agree, those are all masters in the sciences. Theres arts and theres sciences, so they advertise their sciences?
As for "taught" masters, I think they are intensive and involves working in the field. Some call those "cooperative " masters programs, and some call them PHD leading masters programs.

Here is an example from the University of Manchester
* MSc in Petroleum Geoscience
* MSc in Petroleum Business Studies
* MSc in Research Technologies
* MSc in Pollution and Environmental Control
* Master of Enterprise in Environmental Innovation
* Masters Course in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management (MESPOM)

All programmes are normally one year and may only be taken on a full-time basis. There are seven months of taught modules (normally September to April) which requires attendance on intensive taught units which are assessed through continuous assessment project work. This is followed by a research project lasting five months (normally May to September). The research project provides an opportunity for student;....

Quite frankly, theres that many jobs going in London I'd just pick one you fancy and give it a go. Unless you're doing something really specialised, don't bother with any more education. get some real world experience instead

i thinks it is masters of science (like engineering school , or sth scientific )...mas : masters of art ...( like buisness school ..)
