I have just realized that I don't want to become a teacher during my Sophomore year in college. I am thinking about becoming a lawyer or an architect (old childhood dreams). Any suggestions?

Before you become an architect, you will need go to school for at least 5 years (B.Arch 5 years, M.Arch add another 2), work for at least 3 - 4 years before you can take and pass 7 exams, before you can legally call yourself an architect. In that time, you will be working for people who will get all the credit for the work you do and not be paid well for the number of hours you will put in. If you finally ever go out on your own, most of your clients will be lawyers.

To become a lawyer you can go to law school, take the bar, and then you are a lawyer. Work your tail off for a few years, bank some cash, and then you can hire an architect to design your weekend home.

In short: Become an architect to work for lawyers...become a lawyer and hire an architect.

Every job has their own advantage. It depends upon in which field would you like to want to go or you will be happy that's matter, If you ask other they suggest their own opinion they never know what you think about it.
