Similar to B-52's Modern Bands: Air, The Flaming Lips, Mindless Self Indulgence
I say similar because I think of the B-52's music as having an "over the top" sound, like the bands I listed.

Damn I wish! The 80's were crazy with all those synth guitars and Kate peirson's hair going wild. Maybe a good dose of the 'wedding singer' album would give you that nostalgia. Private Idaho is on it too..woohoo!
