Hussein once said, “When I am gone, nothing will be left of Iraq.”
Following his execution clashes between Sunni and Shiite Moslem's brought the country to the brink. The quiz is:
After Saddam’s Death – New Opportunity or Renewed Violence?
especially after Buch declared his new plan in Iraq.
There is no end for the Iraqi war...on the contrary, violence 'll increase there not even between Sunni and Shiite Moslem's, but against the American troops.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
It is an age old battle. Good against evil. The line between good and evil is sometimes fuzzy but not often. It is never ok to kill the innocent especially children. The smart, the wise know the difference between good and evil and the battle between will forever continue as long as there are people in the world.

Your observation is correct. Nothing will change. The violence will continue as the jokeying around by the various groups seeking dominance continues. It will subside once a powerful Sadam-like figure emerges and takes control. The US forces are prohibiting this from happening, hoping against hope that the current puppet government will survive if supported by the US. But for how long?

I loved the quote from Edmund Burke, it fit the times very nicely just as it has in the past. I will add this one of my own. "The absence of war is not peace, but slavery" unkown. Just because the battle looks hopeless does not make it the time to quit. This country needs to finish this, if it does, everyone wins, and the dead will not have died in vain. I know some will say that all death in war is in vain but I say that if you have nothing in your life worth dying for, you also have nothing worth living for.

Aside from Saddam, there are problems to work out in Iraq. The U.S. has to go about things differently then they have been. Let's hope they find better ways than the ones they have been trying.
