1 meter = 1.0936 (it goes on) yards.
Take the x number of meters times 1.0936.
Then square the result.
Example: 2 meters^2 = ? yards^2
2 times 1.0936 = 2.1872
2.1872 squared = 4.7838
Therefore 2 square meters = 4.7838 square yards.
Hope this helps.

Area of room = 4*3 = 12 sqft. = 12/9 sqyd - this is a small room Cost of carpet = 12*3.99/9 = £5.32 - this is a cheap carpet. When something looks like this you should become suspicious. I think the room is not 4 ft by 3 ft I think your room is 4m by 3m = 12 m^2 which is equal to 12*3.281*3.281 = 129.18 sqft=14.35 sqyd Cost of carpet = 14.35*3.99/9 = £57.27

100 m² = 119.599 y²
So to do the conversion you multiply the value in meters buy 1.96
m² x 1.96 = y²
This is a great bit of free software ...convert anything to anything else!

1m = 1.094 yds
1m^2 = 1.094 x 1.094 yds^2
1m^2 = 1.197 yds^2
1m^2 = 1.2 yds^2 (to 1 dec. place)
