"Ignorance" is sometimes used to describe people who have sexist, racist or other hateful beliefs, so maybe it's better to say that innocence is similar to a lack of awareness. Ignorance is almost intentionally deciding to ignore something, innocence assumes you haven't gotten the chance to choose to ignore something yet.

yes and no; innocence is never being exposed, while ignorance is a subconcious choice not to learn. while all rules can be broken, look at it like this: children could be called ignorant of the real world, but through no fault of their own. ignorance tends to have a negative connotation. innocence is viewed as a blissful state while ignorance as one that is undesirable.

Kind of....your only innocent for a short time because you are ignorent to whats going on in the world so yeah, I guess it is, thats my opinion

Well not really because we refer to for example a child that is a toddler, they are very innocent because the lack of life experience. For me they are two totally different words even if you are reffering to an adult.

Well no, ignorance is more to stubborness while innocence is more to lack of awareness, although they get mixed up alot
