Me and my friend kept arguing.Me personally I give the crown to the NOTORIOUS B.I.G the elite MC.I think Lil Wayne is so overrated.And Jay Z is second on my list.This debate will go on forever in HIP HOP.Theres no number MC, but there is.

I do give props to B.I.G. but now that he is dead and can't spit raps for the future, I would hand the crown to Jay Z, because he has so much skill in every, and i mean every song. The lyrics make you wish they were yours. Nas is very poetic, but not enough to make you stop and listen. Kanye West speaks with the most confidence, he just needs a chill pill every so often. Jay Z is my vote.

Personally I don't care for rap but I give credit where credit is due.
I think Tupac and Biggie (Nortorious BIG) were excellent but I would give the crown to BIGGIE.

wasn't RUN DMC around before the beastie boys??......Grand master flash?......think they started it but I am not sure......think everyone else just copied off of everyone else....eminem's 8 mile was great, and the comical videos he did with the rhymes he came up with were brilliant, don't like his dark stuff though, just not my bag....
