he would have, but the vocabulary got a little challenging......it was some serious prose, after all.

Your statement "he doesn't seem to be much of a bookworm", shows that you do not know and have not researched the question. Your just going by the perception he gives and the medias typecasting of him. Try doing your own research. You might just be surprised at the things you find. Most people today, especially those in school just go with the flow. Never questioning something, if that is the beliefs of fellow students or their professors. Try doing your own research, you might be surprised to find the ones with the reading problems are the ones teaching the class.

One news station recently showed the whole classroom thing that happened that morning and interviewed some of the kids who were there that day.
I think he didn't finish, but look through these sites:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pet_Goat
p.s. "The Pet Goat" (erroneously known as "My Pet Goat") is a children's story contained in the book Reading Mastery II: Storybook 1, by Siegfried Engelmann and Elaine C. Bruner (ISBN 0-02-686355-3).

Jack and Jill went up the hill To fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown, And Jill got here tumbling after. Up Jack have been given and homestead did trot As rapid as he might desire to caper; And went to mattress and coated his head In vinegar and brown paper.

He had to finish it, it was the first book that he had ever read and it was too fascinating to put down just because of the irritating attack on the towers.

At the current moment, he has a plethora of other crap to deal with. I'm sure the last thing he time for is reading books.
What does it matter anyway? A majority of the population of the US seems to hardly ever read themselves.

Bush was reading to very young children as part of a education campaign. Just because 9/11 happened while he was reading to children doesn't make him evil or stupid. It does however allow the liberals to construe anything Bush does as awful, no matter how innocent it is.

Now you know he can't read big words without a team of advisors, who have been too busy advising him on this and that, Laura promised as her New Years resolution to read it with him sometime this year.
