Or how would you answer creationists when they challenge the theory of evolution?

Can people expound further? What were the weakneses in evolution? And why do creationist demand proof of evolution (the measure apparently is absolute certainty - can't you guys lower this to proof beyond reasonable doubt) but consider the bible (hearsay evidence) as sufficient proof of their own beliefs?

All scientific testing proves that evolution existed, that the Earth is about 5 billion years old, and life started about 1 billion years ago. Any method you could test, such as carbon dating, DNA analysis, anthropological comparison etc etc etc, will tell you that evolution occurred, not creation.
Creationism is about believing what other people are telling you, ignoring all evidence to the contrary, and using a philosophical, non-scientific book as a basis for science.

Addition material added:
There is ample proof for those who will look at it without dismissing it beforehand. Fossils which have been shown by several methods to be millions of years old are dismissed as either modern apes or, unbelievably, arthritic humans. So much so, that there would seem to be a corellation between having arthritis and leaving bones around to be found, whereas non-arthritic people had bones which dissolved completely, leaving no trace.
Beyond reasonable doubt assumes that the people you are trying to convince are reasonable. But there can be little progress when reason butts heads with faith.

The evidence for evolution is increasing, not decreasing. Evolution will eventually be accepted, because it is a simple, elegant and robust theory. It explains the differences and similarities between different animals, it explains why there are black people, white people and all colours in-between. It explains why things such as the blood disorders thalassaemia and sickle cell anaemia exist.

To even think that evolution by natural selection is not the origin of life on Earth is tantamount to suggesting that the Pope does not believe in God. And in this comparison lies the paradox.

Evolution does exest to a certin point. I'm not saying the humans came from monkeys. but all forms of life changes to adapt to their envoroment. plants adaped to need less water, and to fight bugs, and bugs are starting to not be affacted by pesticides.and us humans we have learned to live and deal with a lot of changes.
thats a part of evolution

unfortunately evolution is a false theory even darwin himself stated in his book there were many weaknesses with it. the theory cannot prove origin of life or theory itself. the proof that scientists claim to be is examples of natural selection which is not evolution!
