wondermom - that would be one less person the taxpayers would have to feed. I don't mean to sound harsh, but if someone can't afford a child, they shouldn't have one, and if they do, oh well, it's their responsibility, not the taxpayers.

Because they have not had the vision, the guts, or the work ethic to acheive something better, and they are bitter about it. 20 million is not too much for someone, if they worked their butts off getting it. For some, money is just the measuring stick they use to show how successful they are at what they do. So because they are the best at what they do, they have to give it up to some poor lazy homeless guy? No logic at all. The poor lazy homeless guy should be working instead of hitting the bottle or doing drugs. Capitalism is the best economic system on the planet, those who can get, get. Those who will not, don't... There are incentives for rich people to give money (tax write offs) and it is a viable option to "give back" but if one doesn't feel the need, one shouldn't give anything. He earned it, he can do what he wants with it. Or we could all just stand in a socialist bread line and have no original thoughts or ideas...

It is the Christian thing to do. I give 50% of what I earn to the poor. You should consider it. What would Jesus do? What DID he do?
What did he preach?

Greed is undesirable. One should strive for financial security. Giving to the needy is fine. Giving to the fake needy is bad.

I don't! Then again I don't want to hear people whine and complain about how babies are being murdered through abortions everyday either! Or would you rather they had the kids and let them starve to death!
