…against the law in Germany to question the official story of WW2? I mean, if I was to say that the massacre in the Katyn forest was done by the soviets & not the Germans, they’ll throw me in prison.

Well, i think when they came up with that law, they were trying to stop the whole nazi mentality. Doing the Nazi salute is illegal and is also a jailable offence. So what they did was, they made a law , a sweeping law that made it illegal to not necassarily question the official story of WW2 but rather to get away from that part of their history. Some Germans, hate what and why their forefathers did what they did, so i think it's mainly because of guilt and not have their ppl to be perceived as Nazis, hence the law.

It's a delicate question...I can only guess; maybe the case you mentioned is not one of the crucial ones...You see; if a nation sends to concentration camps 6.000.000.00 Jews and others, they just don't have much to say about them being right about anything at all as far as WW 2 is concerned, or at least that's my believe...
