When I was a reporter for a small town paper in Wyoming. That job sucked! I was treated like crap because I was the newbie and because I was a woman. I quickly learned that reporters--even small time ones--enjoy the pain of others. We had a police scanner and would listen for accidents on the interstate or whatever. Everyone would get so excited when something would come over the scanner and they'd be so disappointed if their were no fatalities. There was a train wreck and one of the engineers was killed. He was from our area and the editor told me to call the wife to get her response. She had lost her husband only hours earlier. I told him I wouldn't call her because it had no bearing on the article. It was stupid to ask her reaction because obviously she was upset. And it was disrespectful.
I realized that I wasn't cut out for a career as a reporter. If small town reporters were that heartless then what would it be like when I tried to move on to bigger and better things. If you have any trace of humanity running through you then you can't be a reporter.

my worst job was working for a job agency and all i had to do for 12 hours was break down boxes. Doesn't sound hard but do it even for a couple of hours and you'll want to walk out. Meanwhile your arms get super tired and scratched up plus working with a bunch of immature girls doesn't help either. it was bad. i walked out after 2 days. total waste of my time.

A concession stand worker at the worst movie theater ever. Maybe one free movie a month, minimal pay, and the constant smell of burnt popcorn were all I had to look forward to.

Believe it or not, but I've had the same job my whole life. Chicken farming. Picking dead chickens and being bitten and scratched by them. But I like my job.
