You can fool most of the people most of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Hello,
ANS: I think your being overly worried and abit paranoid to be honest with you.
Nobody has the kind of power you seem to think they have, the police, MI5, MI6, the government, local authorities, inland revenu, immagration service, banks, supermarkets, etc, etc I could quote a very long & large list of organisations (Inc Yahoo) that collect data on what people do or what they're views are. But nobody has the kind of mind control or super telepathy you seem to think they have.
**We do have data protection here in the UK and although its far from perfect, some might say data protection laws remain on the weak side (and I wouldnt disagree) it does give some measure of limited protection to personal privacy. My only concerns about this, is the continual errorsion of data protection & of persoanl privacy here in the UK. Such as more and more CCTV & traffic cameras for example (the UK is now the most spyed upon country in the world I heard recently?).
**If you really want something to be concerned about, the US governement & CIA have a system which was supposed to be secret but was exposed a few years ago. Its called Eshalon, its a global YES! global listening network (spying network), its claimed that every single email, phone call, radio transmission and much more besides passes through eshalon. Eshalon is based in the USA (many sites), here in the UK, France, Australia and several other locations. Eshalon uses a cray super computer to analyse all the traffic, it supposed to listen out for certain key words related to terrorism, etc.
**I think eshalon is the closest thing to what your talking about but this is a VERY complex subject of course with many many apsects. Both legal & non legal. But we havent yet reached mind control proportions quite yet?? (thank goodness!! otherwise stop the planet and let me off so to speak!!). But I do sympathise with your sentiments.

The answer is yes, the data is processed by the American NSA from tapping into the British phone network at Menwith Hill.
No UK security services do this so that an MP can stand up in Parliament and say so without commiting the crime of "Lying to the House" however the Americans pass information back to British security services.

I think its very unlikely to be honest, the effort required to do that is much higher then any pay off- I mean, why not just monitor what television we watch, newspapers we buy and so on. There is so much crap on here that the minority of responses are worthwhile opinions that are worth hearing, and those that do are irrelevant and mostly abstract, not to mention represent a tiny tiny minority.
But to answer your question - I would like to say, hey, any chance of a job? Or at the very least can I have some cool James Bond gadgets, a super car, and any WMD's you may have kicking around. Ta very much.

every thing that is written online is directed through a federal government super computer wich scans the information for key words and phrases when certain words come up, then the computer downloads a highly avanced spyware program that has been designed in conjunction with microsoft to bypass all your online anti virus/ firewall software. it then periodically downloads the contents of your hard drive giving them total access to your activity on and offline.
be careful what you write.
you are being watched...

Oh they don't need to scan this to know what you're thinking, you see, once you were born they inserted a chip in your brain and that gives feedback to The Powers That Be headquarters in the Pentagon, kinda spooky yeah...

Honestly, somone could be reading these, but there are a lot of posts to keep up with, not only here but across the entire word wide web. So, I think it unlikely we would draw attention unless it was something so radical that Yahoo brought it to the attention of authorities.
