If a person is shy, you aren't going to know if he or she is mysterious until you get beneath the shyness. Many of us are shy and quiet in a crowd, or even in a quiet place with the two people involved. But eventually, a shy person will open up. To be honest, I'm not sure there are really that many mysterious people out there. I think it's just a cover-up for their being shy, so they have to put on the facade of being either shy or mysterious, and of course, they'll pick being mysterious.

No.
Some can be quiet and shy but not be a bit mysterious.
Being mysterious is coming across to others as if you have something secret or some other thing going on beyond what you show on the surface.
Some people try to come across as mysterious, but it is usually obvious that's what they're doing. Some people who have some mystery to them may be quiet but not shy. Some could be shy. Some, though, may not be awfully quiet or shy and may be quite sociable - but they may have some hard-to-describe mystery to them.
Sometimes a person can have a lot going on intellectually, and that person could seem mysterious to others who aren't quite as intellectually curious or busy.

Mystery is the result of the impression of something hidden or other than what it appears to be. A mysterious person is not shy or quiet. He just keeps certain information private. Not because of being shy, but for his own agenda - unknown to you. A mysterious person may seem out of place, or stand out in a crowd, but you can't put a finger on why. A mysterious person draws attention and misdirects that attention away from him, creating curiosity - by making you unsure of motive or agenda..

Let me give you an example. A stranger walks by you glances at you, flashes you a smile, and then walks off. That would be mysterious. Another scenario: A stranger walks by makes eye contact with you and then looks down and walks away. That's a shy person. It's all about the persons attitude. To be mysterious you have to be confident, a shy person does not have to be confident.

I think to be classed as mysterious it is really in the eye of the beholder.....I don't think you could just be 'mysterious' as most people would just see this as the individual being shy/quiet.....if you see what I mean?

i think someone can perceive someone to be quiet/shy but in reality, they are really mysterious...or someone could perceive someone to be mysterious, but they're just quiet and shy.... I think you really have to know the person to deterimine whether they are quiet/shy or mysterious. Also, the person can assess whether they are either or.

i wouldn't think so. i would assume mysterious would be that hot loner type where you look like you have an interesting past, but no one is able to open you up-by choice
shy-to me- would mean they are a bit on the nerdy side and have seldom friends. they might even have some self esteem issues

God is mysterious only to those who do not know Him. Multi verse is a theory of those who do not know God. In a roundabout way there is no difference...
