Don't plan. The first thing you are going to have to learn if you are going to be a parent is that you can't plan and organize your life like this any more. Because in the big scheme of things, the month your baby is born is pretty far down on the list of priorities. Some babies come early, some come late. Some people can't get pregnant for months, years, or ever. Are you really going to risk waiting for one month a year to conceive so you can have a baby in mid-December? Work towards having as healthy a baby as you can. That is what is most important! (Drink lots of orange juice now, stop smoking/drinking/etc and take prenatal vitamins)

Go forward about 12 weeks from the date you want the baby to be born. If you're looking for a mid December birth, you want to to conceive in mid to late March. Remember the gestation period for humans is about 40 weeks.

I conceived on Feb. 14 and my due date was Dec. 17. I delivered on Nov. 26
That's not right. I looked at my baby calender and it shows that if you are ovulating on march 25 then the implantation will happen on April 1. According to this the due date will be Dec. 17. So I guess I now know when I really did conceive.

To be so specific you need conceive on 21st March. If you have a 28 day cycle the first day of your last period would need to fall on 9th March. Remember though, that although it is most commonly assumed that a term pregnancy is 40 weeks, it is actually classed as anything between 37 - 42 weeks from the first day of your last period.

Just out of interest, I have 3 children, all born in in the winter, and they constantly moan that they can't have summer garden parties on their birthdays!
