im a canadian-american and i love both countries dearly. but i was just wondering what would happen if canada and the united states got into a war?
i know many americans would jump and sayy "of sourse teh US would win" but if you think about it.. can they? i mean if canada and the US fought over.. lets say border disputes.. would canada acquire world sympathy espceially from europe? and get help from foreign countries?
and idk. at the moment, the United States can barely take control of Iraq.. just my opinion.
so. whats your take?
Canada vs the US over.. an imaginary border disputes.
and i know i higly doubt the US and Canada will ever get into a war again for teh next 100 or so years.
but just an interesting question to ask.

i dont blame the. but i do regret not reading my WHOLE question.
this is a hypothetical war.
i was looking for factors that would compare both countries.
sheesh.

Well I understand where you are coming from about Canada gaining Euro support in this hypothetical war, and its an interesting question.
The reason that the US cant gain control of Iraq is because of the liberal choke hold on this country.
However, I feel that Canada is far more infected with liberalism than the US
The US is far more populous
The US is far more powerful
I do believe in a war between the US and Canada, Europe would stay out of the war, especially because of economic issues
The USA would win simply because of military might and the fact that more liberalism has infected Canada than the United States

Canada is my birth country and the US is my adopted country. I love them both and can't even imagine if they had a war. It would be like an argument between my parents. Both could be right and both could be wrong. The neighbors might sympathize but I don't think they would get involved in an North American dispute. These two countries have a lot invested in each other and I do believe they would protect each other if some other country would try to invade either one. Canada may have a great air force but they lack numbers in their strength whereas the US has more power in their numbers. I think there would be a lot of conferences between them preventing them from ever getting to that point.

The only wars to be fought between the US and Canada are on hockey rinks*, baseball fields and basketball courts. Not football, the Canadians messed with that too much. If the war were hockey, Canada would win. Otherwise, the US would win. War between the countries on any other level is unthinkable.

Canadians are different from Americans and noone can be a true Canadian with an American passport. I am not anti-American but I was born here. I know the difference. I do not like it when Canadians move down to the States and then surrender their citizenship. It is a betrayal of one's country and it is wrong.
As for Iraq, not our mess, you can thank Bush, the unelected court-appointed President...one expensive mess..with a lot of casualties...I feel sorry for Americans and Iraqis but am not in favour of the war to begin with.
We have nothing to fight about. Stop launching a trade war.

i would not underestimate those Mounties if I have been you. US might win the definitely warfare, yet we would LOSE the PR warfare interior the worldwide communicate board, until Canada incredibly is going south between now and stated warfare. Peace

Better to have this dispute now, all US troops are busy in Irak, this could be a good chance to get a free Quebec at the end of this irrealistic war!!!

One: we're not trying to take control of Iraq, but get Iraq under control from a cruel and monstrous dictatorship under whose regime millions of innocent civilians were murdered.
Second: with only 25 million people in all of Canada, I guess the U.S. would just kick your a-s and inhabit the places that aren't part of the polar ice cap, send the french wannabes back to Europe, and you'd all be taxable American-canadiens.

I think if we got into a war with Canada more people would be signing up to fight. Theres a big difference between a war far off somewhere and one on your doorstep.

Fortunately, the Bush administration hasn't poisoned relations with the Canadians that badly, yet. I don't think it would ever happen.

If you truely loved both countries dearly then you would not ask this question!!!! Do you go around asking if my mom and dad split who would get the house? How much child support would I get!!!
BTW the USA would kick Butt!! Maybe it would be time to Nuke EM!!!
