Does anyone know if PS3 lens has to be clean? (etc. disc cleaner)?

all lens has to be clean in order for it to work properly.
I would avoid lens cleaner for now (At least until sony tell us how to do it properly).

But, the best way is prevention.
KEEP the lens clean by wiping any dust or blow it using dust blower that are on your DVD and game disc.

Keep cleaning PS3 outer shell and not to let dust build up in its exhaust fan.

pour sand on it...

for best results, scratch it with diamonds daily.
