DREAMGIRLS.

I liked this movie a lot. And personally, in my opinion i give this movie four stars. Eddie Murphy made the movie for me, i think that with out his character the movie would have been lacking something. JHud was also very good, she is a talented young lady i can't see why she was voted off American Idol, but anyway thats there lost. Beyonce was good but i think that she could have put more into it, her role was a bit boring. Jamie Foxx was okay, wasnt great, and that surprised me being that he is an Academy award winner. Anika noni Rose doesnt get much hype from this movie but i think that she is a great actress, and that she will recieve more roles.

Dreamgirls is a very good and inspiring movie, so if you didnt see it, go see it. I promise you will get your moneys worth.

In addition to telling me how many stars you would give this movie, tell me your favorite part, and who made the movie for you (meaning : the person this movie couldnt do without).

I would give it 3 and a half stars (which is goood). I thought it was incredible. I agree with everything you said, except I thought Jennifer and Eddie made the movie for me. I thought you hit the nail on the head about Anika and Beyonce (which is why I could not give it four stars). I expected more depth from Beyonce, but she did pretty well. Anika is wonderful and doors will open for her talents in the movie. I also wonder why no one talked about that guy named Chris who played Effie's brother in the movie. I liked him too.
My favorite part was when Effie was going off in "And I am Telling You." You could hear gasps and sniffles in the theater. Awesome!

For me, Jennifer Hudson stole the show! Her rendition of "You're Gonna Love Me", sent chills up MY spine, and had every man in the place saying, "I SURE WILL"!
Also, and I have never seen this in my life, when she sang that song, with all of her emotions thrown into it, the audience in the theatre actually stood up and gave her a standing ovation like we were in concert at a live performance! Jennifer is definitely the next big star to take note of. The movie couldn't have done it without her. The Lady can SANG!!!

I also liked the ending, at their farewell performance when Effie took the stage again with them.

I give it 5 stars! Beyonce and Jaime were told to hold back in their performances because they were so powerful of entertainers in real life, that their real personalities were too much for their parts. Anika played the part that she had, very well too. Albeit a small part.
