Creative people need to take a break- hiatus sometime.. to recharge their battery. Its had to be funny all the time. Theats why most of the really great skethc comedy shows were short lived, a few seasons. Also look at Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin, Martin Lawrence, Woody Harrelson...they're not always working...or they come out with some project every few years. I dont think we should begrudge someone wanting to live low key..if they can afford to do it. even if we miss their performances. There is always syndication.

Don't know. Don't care.
He just stopped being an entertainer...so I stopped being his audience. How can I be a loyal fan when he's doesn't care about his fans. He made a lot of money off of the sponsors and then took a hike. I know 'they' say he had a break down. whatever...is making 50 million dollars a nervous breakdown worthy reason??
Dave who? Crappelle who?
