If you are unable to get anything but 16 colors your video card driver isnt installed..first find out what kind of video card that you have ,go to device manager in system in control panel ,open device manager
and scroll down to video .. if there is a name of one there which its probably going to say standard video driver.Delete that and hit apply and ok.Reboot and then take the disk that has video driver on it that came with your system and when you reboot it will say new hardware found and it will ask you where the driver is..You browse to the cd or disk that has your driver and then choose it and then click ok.if you have any problems just email me ill be glad to help.Also you may not know what video card you have if not just call the mfg and ask them.They may even tell you how to find out or tell you which one you have and if the driver came with it..

if its unable to set 16 bit..jsut try ..more than that and after some time mean after 10 min change...to 16 bit..
becoz ..some time monitor...memory is ...dam..thats its happend....
just try wht i say you...its working ..

you may have not installed proper moniter driver, Install proper Monitor driver for monitor and Graphic card
