I think that Maureen had an affair with George during the time that Ringo was "off the deep end" with drugs and alcohol; and George was getting tired of Pattie.

Its not known for certain. It is said that George said that he was in love with Maureen in front of Ringo, Maureen, and Patti at dinner. Jane Asher was the most popular girlfriend, but I think Maureen was the hottest beatle wife/girlfriend. Patti had bad teeth. Cynthia and Linda were only slightly above average, and Yoko was the most annoying woman who ever lived.
Now that I think about it, I believe I read that John Lennon slept with either Patti Boyd or Maureen. I think it was Patti.

It's 2015 now and Pattie Boyd admitted in 2008 that George slept with Maureen (Ringo's Wife). That's why Pattie left him for Eric Clapton.

I don't remember reading about George and Ringo's wife having an affair. Eric Clapton fell in love with Patti Boyd (George's wife) and wrote the song "Something" for her. She eventually left George for Eric Clapton.
