I got this little bunny a month ago, she's almost two months old now, she was fine and i don't recall that i have noticed anything wrong with her.. now I dunno when exactly did she develope these ulcers.. one over the left leg and one on her back.. and am suspecting some invisible ones behind her neck (as the area looks red but she didn't lose the furr over there..)
she keeps licking it but i always thought she was cleaning her self up till i took a closer look and i was shocked.. it's red and bald.. but not oozing or bleeding..
she is free to go around in the room..she's not in a cage..she's not with other pets.. i only took her out once for less than 30 mins.. and she didn't look sick to me..
I'm taking her to the vet today but they still aren't open.. i'm worried, can this be successfully treated?
and should i worry that this could be contagious to human?

will these patches be contagious to other pets? i.e. cats? and what is needed for it to be spread? will keeping them apart prevent that?

You are definitely smart to keep her separated from the other animals and I hope that you can get her to a vet as soon as one is open. Just in case it is due to overgrooming, here is a link that may help:

There are a few diseases that can pass from rabbits to humans, see: http://www.medirabbit.com/Zoonotic/Zoonotic_main.htm

Without having a vet see your bunny, it is hard to say what is happening. Some bunnies overgroom themselves and it could be wound. Wounds in rabbits can abcess and that can be a problem. Please be sure that the vet knows how to treat rabbits and here are two links that may help: Selecting a rabbit savvy vet: http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/vet.html

If she is really only 2 months old that indicates that you got her at too young an age to be separated from her Mom. Good idea in any event to get her to a vet. Babies need very special care.

She really needs to see a vet to be sure. It could be some infection, cyst, abscess or a number of other things. It might even be something as simple as a splinter or thorn. Without actually seeing the lumps it's too hard to call, which is why she needs to see the vet.

Even if it turns out to be an abscess it can be treated fairly easily these days.

Once you do find out what is wrong I'd have a look here at the following site to find out what the latest treatment and information is. Vets simply don't have the time to keep up with a lot of the changes and a lot of vets have minimal experience with rabbits.
