Yes, someone sufficiently skilled, and with the time and programs, can track the main pc address through your IP address by going through your server. Was this person for real, or just a wanna-be hacker? If they were threatening you without cause, then you can report them to whatever policing agency the forum you were using has. Stay safe.

Don't worry. He can find the address of your service provider, but that's about it.
That said, your IP address can be traced to you by a government subpoena to your service provider. They keep track of who they assign IP addresses to.
Don't do anything illegal over Internet. That's how the RIAA knew who to sue for downloading music.

No, it's very hard if not impossible to do that. Unless this man works for the FBI or something.
When the average person traces an IP it leads them to the service provider and general location at best.

He is full o BS unless he has government or police clearance! At best, unless he has physical access to your PC, he can only trace you back to your provider and your provider wont divulge that info without proper clearance! Keep in mind tho, if he knows any info about you, your name, any of your friends names, any info you have posted on websites that he knows, he may be shrewd enuff to make a pretty close connection! If you use a local provider, he can at least find out the name of the town you live in and use any other info to find your address!
The rest of you who are telling this guy yes are full of it and need to stick to answerin chit you know somethin about!
Pranay, you aint got a clue!
Jimbo hit it on the head!
