Can you suggest good uses for a DVR?

Right now a good use that I have is to save sport games and see them AFTER I know my team won. ;)

I love movies. So I scan for future movies I want to watch. Record them at any time of day. I can then watch them when I have time to enjoy one without any interruptions.

There are these things call "Television Shows" which are also on TV as it turns out. They come in a wide variety of genres and formats....ie comedy, drama, reality, etc.

If you have a cable guide, scan for tomorrows shows and select a few that peak your interest, then watch them when ever is convenient for you.
