He just hit a full hard serve that had no curve and it took one medium bounce and just two more very small bounces then started rolling on the floor, the ball was literally about 5 inches high by the time it reached the farthest line on the court where the opponent was. I saw him hit that serve about 3 times in a little 5min practice. What kind of serve is that, and how can I learn it.

It was just a flat serve with no spin on it. Try to arch your back less during the motion, toss the ball further in front of your body and SLIGHTLY further to the right might help.
