The longest word this year ?

Is there an annual competition I've missed out on ?

The longest word this year I would imagine would be the same as the longest word last year, and the longest word recorded in the Oxford dictionaries is the lung disease,

"pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis"

Sorry Yahoo cuts the end of this word off when it posts for some reason - so you'll have to look it up on my link. Its 45 letters long anyway.

We're just starting our fifth day of the year; I've been modest with my output of long words and I believe the longest word I've used so far is pulchritudinous.
Pulchritudinous is an adjective and it means characterized by or having great physical beauty and appeal.
