My Wife and I work for a very successful company and we wanted to tell you that 36 dollars per hour is VERY GOOD :O) We are born and raised in California and you will be able to live very nice making that kind of money :O) See you soon in Sunny California !!!

That's a pretty good salary. Just above the average salary... but it should be higher if you work in IT and experienced already. My friend gets $31 per hour in MI as Analyst Programmer for a Software Consultancy firm.

$36 an hour is good for most areas of California. The bay area may need it just to survive because of high rent prices though.

yes, it is. but it would depend on what you will be doing, how much education you have, etc...

but remember wages are higher in california because most of the state is very expensive to live in. the cost of living here is quite high. it's not unusual to spend $1000 USD/month on a one bedroom apt.

Looks like about 70,000 per year about the median household income in Silicon Valley and much high than average in other communities.

Yes. Of course, it depends on the job. If you're a lawyer or doctor maybe it's just average or below average. But overall, yes!

wow! I'm 12, and I don't work yet(obviously) and I would love to have a job that pays that much why I get older!
