It's not dangerous to your life, but it's definitely dangerous to your sexual enjoyment. Get a second opinion - or even a third! Ask each doctor what alternatives there are. Bacterial infections can usually be cured meically, so why are they telling you to have surgery - it makes no sense, Don't let anyone cut you until you understand why it is necessary and are absolutely sure that there is no other method of treatment. Good luck - I hope you can find another way besides being chopped!

Now stop right there and go get a second and third doctors' opinion (in different doctors' offices) and do it QUICKLY before it falls off! Almost every bacteria can be killed with antibiotics. Some bacteria will kill your skin. A knife cutting it off will definitely kill your foreskin, and you can't put it, or the lost sensations, back. If I were in your shoes, when calling for an appointment, I would tell the receptionist that you have a problem with your foreskin, and you want to be seen by a doctor that has his foreskin intact. Those doctors will probably be more concerned and will work harder to NOT remove your foreskin.
Does your doctor hate the fact that you aren't circumcised? Ask him if he is circumcised and why he is or isn't. You may learn a lot from his answers.
I've read a lot about circumcision. The results of that research are:
1. There is a very loud public outcry against circumcision when female circumcision is discussed. That procedure removes the most sexually sensitive part of a woman. I think this procedure is wrong and should not be allowed, except in medically necessary conditions.
2. The foreskin on a man is one of the most sexually sensitive part of a man. I think this procedure is wrong and should not be allowed, except in medically necessary conditions.
3. Most doctors and other medical professionals in the USA know very little about foreskin care because they don't have theirs.

No it's not dangerous. Many men get it done as you have pointed out. They don't cut the male genitalia, just the skin around it. You won't be able to feel it as they will give you localized anesthesia.
In any surgical procedure there is a risk . With this one it would probably be a less than 1% risk. However, the risk of keeping the skin and easily getting bacterial infections will be a worse risk to take!
You will like it afterwards because sexual activities will feel better because without circumcision it is like wearing 4 condums! and it will be easier to keep clean. I believe you will be in a little pain for a while after the procedure. The doctor will tell youhow long and when you can resume normal activity.

No, adult circumcision is not dangerous.
But I assure you it will be painful (even with the local anesthetic the doc will provide) and sore for at least ten days after.
You should be apprehensive, and for your own sake, cleaner! Just pull your foreskin back to expose your glans and wash with warm, soapy water every time you shower.
For those that tell you to go forward with the circumcision, PLEASE! Would a dentist tell a patient with plaque to cut off his lips? Does having earwax mean you should cut off your ears? What about women who frequently have smegma...female circumcision?
Take an index card and wrap it around your exposed shaft. That's how much skin you will lose. Is it sensitive? YOU bet. Why on Earth would you want to lose all those nerve endings and the frenulum on the underside of your penis as well?
All the chopped guys (and girls who have only HAD chopped guys) will tell you to do it. DON'T!
Just clean frequently (you brush your teeth and wipe your bottom, right?) and you'll be okay.
Lemme know if you need more info.

I can tell you from experience that it is not something you do just because of an infection. Get more opinions and take some antibiotics to heal.Wash good every day and you should have no more problems. I you decide circumcision is best for you be sure to tell the doctor you want a high and very tight circumcision. You will be very happy with the look and feel.

no.. not dangerous.. but painful... clearly you have a better sense of what pain is then when you're young... but then again.. you can take painkillers now and couldn't then... but either that.. or you'll have to cut the whole thing off...
as far as sex goes... the foreskin can hide a lot of bacteria... but i'm preaching to a choir here.. you already learned that the hard way... i'd say it can prevent giving your partner whatever bacteria lingers there.. also.. people say different things.. but it can have an effect on enjoyment of sex... for the better.. or worse.. to some the lack of skin allows for more sensation.. for others less...

I've heard that sex is less enjoyable if you get circumcised. So, if this is the case for you, tell me. I'm curious if it's true and seems unprovable. I mean, it may be the case if the circumcision happens when you're an adult. But what about being circumcised at birth? Does that mean you're going to enjoy sex less? I theorized to myself that perhaps the less enjoyable part comes with adult circumcision, as perhaps some of the nerves are deadened. I don't know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I don't think it's dangerous, and if that's the way to go, then do it. Though, it may be painful.

It's not dangerous. I had to get a second one yes you read that right second one when I was 18. It's not really painful just annoying as the stitches will have a tendency to poke the inside of your leg. Although they will tell you not to have sex or lift heavy objects for a week or two.

Adults might desire to get *3* servings of milk an afternoon. A cup of milk contains approximately 3 hundred mg of calcium, and with the magnesium it contains, that calcium is definitely absorbed. Calcium-wealthy kale basically grants 90mg in keeping with serving, calcium-wealthy turnip vegetables supply you 100mg, and that they *do not* have the mandatory magnesium for all of it to be absorbed. Milk contains needed fatty acids, protein, substantial quantities of supplementations A, B12, D, potassium, phosphorus, niacin, and riboflavin. And it is scrumptious.
