People come here from all over to escape totalitarianism, outrageous taxation, religious persecution, political persecution, and ethnic persecution. They come for opportunities and sometimes they just come to get real medical care.
And all you can say is "Waa! Waa! Use the metric system!"(Note: crybaby sounds added by answerer.)
How's this: since America is one of very few countries that actually works well, how about you all switch over to our systems?

I think we're in the 21st century. But I don't understand why America has not embraced the metric system. It seems like it would be a good idea to know both.

The metric system is stupid. I mean, honestly, who measures things in hectiliters or decigrams? It's a lot easier to say "a foot", when you know that it's about the length of your own foot (my feet are big, and my shoe does measure just right about twelve inches long) than to say "30.48 cm".
