you are talking about a colicky baby. They same some food like dairy, broccoli, cauliflower can cause gas. My son, was colicky and had lots of gas so i cut out those thing, didn't change a thing. I didn' my research but there is no prof that foods that we eat will give a nursing child gas. Drink Milk you need the extra calcium and Vitamin D.

Yes! It is ok for a nursing mother to drink milk while breastfeeding. I did that before. We have this milk intended for nursing mothers, it is called ANMUM here, I forgot the manufacturer's name. It is used by nursing mothers as its main purpose is to stimulate the mother's milk and provide nutrients to mothers who may be too busy to prepare themselves nutritious foods. It is really ok. Look for this kind of milk, I am 100% sure it won't cause your baby any harm.

There are far better sources of calcium for nursing moms than the breasmilk of a different species.

I drink alot of milk and it doesn't affect my baby at all.
