If I wanted to get to sleep fast and hard, what would be the best over the counter one to use? I don't care about side effects. And about how long does it take?

I wouild take melatonin (take 1/2 hour before you want to sleep)..it is safe..

also smelling the essential oil lavendar puts me right to sleep..get at the health food stor eand don't use synthetic but real. Put some on your pillow or sheet or tissue and breathe deeply..espeically good if you are stressed out and can't sleep from worrying or shut off your thoughts.

Tylenol P.M.s are, in my opinion, the best. If you have never taken them before, take 1. Take two only if you can handle it. I had to stop for a while because I got to the point where 4 had no effect on me. DON'T get to that point. Lol. Two should honestly knock you out.

If you are looking for a natural solution, Melatonin can be found in the health medicine section. Like... vitamins. If not, ask a pharmacist to help find it. It's pretty cheap and has the right substances to make you actually have healthy sleep instead of things like Tylenol P.M.

I have problems with insomnia so I know a lot about different sleep aids. Trazadone is a really heavy sleeper, but I have a bad sinus reaction to it.

There are other options if you just tell your doctor that you're having problems sleeping, ask him for Ambien. Ambien is the best thing you can get with a prescription. That's my opinion.

Nighty Night tea is great. It helps you sleep through the night too. I have been on all kinds of medication for my sleeping troubles, but in the end nothing works, I sleep just a few hours each night and managed to drift into a half sleep while watching TV.

I'll be very honest I don't know most of them are limited to a certain potency making them all about the same. I would see what the main ingredient is, and if you've been unsuccessful with that same drug in one brand, see what their competitor uses. You may have a higher tolerance level for one over the other.

If not, then see a doctor.

If you want a drug, then get some Nyquil or generic formula. Or you can try the old-fashioned failsafe liquid, known as a big glass of WARM MILK!

I can't go to sleep naturally myself, so I take 2 Tylonol P.M.'s at bedtime, that usually knocks me out and I've been taking them for 4 months, however they can get addicting, so take them when you need sleep.

stairmaster for 30 minutes. If that doesn't make you tired then you're hopeless!
