According to wage an hour laws in the US employers ONLY have to pay minimum wage.........They do not have to pay above that....I'm not sure if they can reduce it without notice.

A job can only reduce your pay rate if you agree in writing.

We'd need more information--just you? Across the board? As a result of downsizing/cost cutting? As a punitive measure?

Yes they can. You know of promoted, well there is demoted. Plus if your company is down sizing or cost cutting. They also have the right to if they feel like you are not meeting your standards
