To answer this question, lot more information is required.. Like in which part of country is your company, how many local players are there in the market... nature of market.. your knwoledge in manufacturing process... Your sales skill etc... So what i can do is to provide some basic information from my expereience..

1. you should have a good knowledge about the process of making plywood.. ie learn the subject.. especially in Resins / Adhesives, effect of temperature , wood and the quality of veneer of each wood..

2. Make sure tht you can make good quality plywood and can contact leading brands to mfr for them on outsourcing. Though margins will be less , you can have volumes will be high and you can meet your recurring expense.

3. Some dealers want sheets without any brand. In south india it is a major market.. so provide sheets without branding to them..

4. Study your production cost and the same of other manufacturers.. If yours is high, bring it down, so accordingly yoiu can reduce your rates which will give an advantage for you.

5. Meanwhile sideways, manufacture in your own brand.. prefereable in two brands. one in preminum with no compromise in quality and other for price conscious cuctomers.. People should never come to know that both are owned by same company..

6. Ultimately, check yourself whether sales is your area.. if not, please hire a part time consultant or good sales manager..
