This question is being answered from indian banking scenario. IN india, most banks issue credit card free of cost (i.e. no entry fee and annual member ship free. You may surf through the web site of any bank and leave your telephone numbers. They will contact you back. Hoawever please be cautioned about life time free cards. Most of the life time free card is actually not life time free. Again if any debit is made to your card which is not acceptable to us, please do correspond with them immediately and accept nothng other than reversal of the entry. Usage charges like interest on funds enjoyed, charages on cash advances etc are to be necessarily to be paid even if it is life time free. The basic things to be understood is that there is no free lunch in a market economy. If at all offered anything free, it will be covered in some or other way. Remember credit card companies are not for charity. Generally, in india, public sector banks are more transparent in taking charges than others. The basic criteria upon which card is issued is your annual income which shall be of verifiable nature. If you re already a defaulter to any bank for credit card, your chances of getting a new card is bleak as they have an inbuilt cross checking system.

If you cannot find one without a fee it sounds like you have bad credit. I would suggest a gas card to try to re-establish your credit to show regular payments are being made on time. Then after wards you should get some offers for no fee credit cards. Good Luck

Go to your bank and check out which cards they offer. Many have no fees (such as VISA classic, or classic II, I believe).

You still have to pay your minimum amount on time, and if you pay off your balances in full by the end of the month you'll avoid interest charges.

Most credit cards don't charge fees, just interest. So check your mailbox, if your like most people you have an offer in there.
