First of all, in the state of Nevada you can't live in a hotel. You can stay two weeks then you must "check out" and then "check back in".

To stay at...
If you want cheaper prices and Strip local try the - Westward Ho (no whore jokes intended, its the name), Circus Circus- Stratosphere.

Luxury... Caesar's, Mirage, Bellagio or Rio.

If you have a car, check out the places about 10-15 minutes off the strip. Some of them have awesome suites with flat panels TVs and all the amenities for a fraction of the strip priced hotels. Check out Hilton Garden and the other Hiltons...but not the Las Vegas Hilton near the strip on Paradise.

If you are planning on staying several months, you probably want to get an apartment. The nicest hotels are hundreds of dollars a night. Extended Stay America was $69 a night when I checked, which works out to over 2 GRAND a month. You MIGHT get a long term rate, but I doubt it would be as cheap as an apartment.

Now, if you are looking for cheap...there's always the Western, about $20-$25 a night!

I'd say you should go to a Budget Suites, or some other similar weekly establishment if you are planning to "live" there for awhile. Maybe even getting an apartment for the duration of your stay.

You can buy condos at the Palms or the Hard Rock. They start around $400K, and you do get access to the hotel amenities.
