Dhoni was playing well at No.7. Then he was asked to come No3 position, he started to become erratic at this position. Then as the other person told, his concentration on the game reduced as the Ads swelled up. He can still play well, by concentrating more on cricket, which is his bread and butter. Or he will turn a model and leave cricket? this only he can answer.

Dhoni is the kind of bats man needed in a team who can come in the middle order a score some quick runs. He has played his part in the team for many matches for India. So I think he is a good player...

Here are the probables: Sehwag: he is an experienced player and a deserving candidate for the captaincy but he is very lay back as a captain and I don't think he is as street mart as Dhoti is. Ghambhir: He can a the captain but I don't know what his repor with the other players.. Can he be a true leader? I don't know for sure. Raina: well, I saw his as a captain but he made many mistakes/blunders so I think he can wait for a couple of years for training. Harbhajan: He is experienced and a fighter too, but there is something about his personality that just doesn't suit with the responsibility of a captain. Yuvraj Singh: He would love to lead the team and he has some qualifications that some others don't but at the moment he is struggling to maintain his position in the team. Any extra burden would hurt his game. Sachin: He is perfect but he himself is unwilling to be the captain. He was the very good captain for Mumbai team but he is not in the race. I think it would work as a great surprize and intimidating to send him for the world cup as the captain.

Dhoni was a good player, he aint anymore, most cricketers do really well in the beginning, get their share of fame, come on every ad on TV and then go down the dumps (eg: Sehwag, Kaif)

he scored good runs by attacking style.he plays according to teams need whether it is fast or slow.He also scored good runs like 148*(against Pakistan,in his fourth match) and 183*(against Sri Lanka)and that too attacking style. So absolutely,he is a very good player no doubt. Is n't it.
