Yes, without the pills to help your cycle your cycle will change and get mixed up. It is normal. And yes, it is safe to start and get on the pills again as long as your not planning on getting pregnant and not already pregnant. if you just had a kid talk to your doctor.

After you stop taking the pill, your body has to re-learn how to regulate your hormones. It could take months for you to have a normal period.
If you want to start the pill again, and your period doesn't start soon, talk with your doctor. You should be able to start the pill again at anytime. Just don't use it as your only form of birth control until after your second regular period after you start it.

after you stop taking the pill after you have been taking it for a long period of time it takes time for the body to adjust back to normal. some people have zero affects, whilst others have a variety of changes such as regular periods when they were irregular before and vice versa. it may just be that there is just a delay before you have your period again, which may be a week or even longer. It shouldnt be something too much to worry about - especially if you have had irregular periods before...however if you are really concerned visit your doctor.

If you stopped using the pill for any length of time, you need to see your doctor before restarting. 1. Why did you stop to begin with? 2. you sure the reason your period is late isn't because your pregnant? You know that when you first come off the pill you are especially fertile... right? Just be safe and see your doctor. PLEASE

OMG sure! I were on the pill for 10 years and wanting to give up decrease back in Mid-February 2006. (wanting to commence a relatives and all....) My first era became precisely a week late, and that i had the most unearthly cramps, complications, etc. My physician says that's your body's way of attempting to regulate itself decrease back into its own hormone stability. nicely, the subsequent month i became 4 days late, and to be honest with you, that's the first month when you consider that February that I actually were correct on time. it would want to take some females longer than others, yet you receives decrease back on agenda!

i stopped taking pills after being on them for years. i didn't have a period for 1+ years. then, when i started taking them again it took me a couple of months to have a normal period. any hormones that we mess with in our bodys are going to have some affect, but everyone's body is different.
