People born between 23 August - 22 September are Zodiacally classed as Virgos.

Actually you could either be a Virgo or a Leo. I don't know why everyone is giving you these exact answers when they don't actually know for sure. That date is the date when Virgo often rises and Leo goes so without knowing where you were born and the exact time it is hard to say.
For instance:
If you were born at 1 minute past midnight in 1974 you are a Leo
If you are born at 11:59pm that same day you are a Virgo.

My Birthday is August 24.....and some say Leo ends at Aug. 22...some say 23....I have even seen a 24 once....but I have never felt like or related to ANY Virgo horoscopes...they say we're on the Leo-Virgo cusp, but go with what fits you best...Leo and Virgo couldn't be any different, so it's not hard to find you. You may even be both.
But I also happen to know that I was 2 weeks late being born, so "technically" I am a Leo....LOL
Ask your mom if she was late or early having you.
