Bettas grow to be about 2"-3" max. If you bought it from a pet store you already have a full grown one as they are about 2 years old by the time you get them. They usually live for about 3-4 years as an average life span.
Good luck, HTH

you incredibly shouldn't shop something in there different than a shrimp... it is slightly too small. in case you insist on preserving a fish, a beta might stay in there (not inevitably thrive, yet they might stay). Gold fish and such surely do not belong in there. BTW, human beings might desire to verify until now they remark. the reason human beings say do not use a bowl is as a results of the fact bowls often only encompass a tumbler bowl and gravel. the guy asking the question for sure says they have an oxygen pump and clear out put in...

No, beta fish don't grow big at all, beta fish are probably about as long or less than your middle finger. And beta fish like smaller aquariums. At the least they need to be able to move around a little.

Betas don't really grow to be big. The one thing I learned about betas, is that they like to "play" dead. We actually thought ours had died and ran out and bought another. When we came home from the pet store, the original was swimming up a storm.

The biggest your beta will get is about 3 inches and that's if you feed and care for him real well. The average is 2 inches.

Beta fish do not grow much larger than the size you buy them at. Most fish grow to the size their tank allows, but not Betas. They are more known for their agressiveness towards other fish.

They stay pretty small. Usually when you buy them from the store they are the size they will stay.

Beta fish are originally "ditch fish". Naturally, they adapted to live in tiny pockets of stagnant water (one of their biggest addaptation is the ability to obtain oxygen through bubbles of air from the surface of the water). As such, they don't need much room and they don't grow larger than 3 inches. However, you do need to take into consideration water quality (the danger of building up toxic nitrogen compounds from the fish poop and left-over food), that must be changed more frequently in smaller containers (otherwise, it can eventually poison your fish). Also, beta's need warmer water temperature, so you might want to consider keeping it in a warmer room (don't put it in sunlight unless you like poached fish).
