You are not entirely wrong. There is a bit of a mixture of natural genetic tendancies and social conditioning, that determine our sexuality and what we choose to do about it. I think this a reason why the nurture vs nature argument still goes on, because it is right and wrong! However because of this people feel they have to 'excuse' their sexuality by determining it wasn't a choice they were born that way! Personally I feel that if you are being true to yourself and you are truly happy in your relationships then it doesn't matter what sex those relationships are with.
So, to pick up a ppoint that every man has homosexual tendancies I would agree with you on that and it is social conditioning that makes people decide where they go with this. This is where some of the bigotry against homosexuality comes into play - the 'bigot' recognises the homosexual tendancy in themselves and fears it. Therefore when they see someone else being relaxes or at ease with their sexuality they hit out!

People are born gay. My brother is gay and told me when we were little that he liked a boy in his class. He is a "butch" style gay guy, very not metro. He's tried everything to not be gay (hypnosis, counciling), but the thought of being intimate with a woman disgusts him and he has always been sexually attracted to men. I agree with the womb hormone theory. Many twins (same genes) are one homo, one hetero, in fact, there is a very high percents of identical twins who are different sexually. There is also a big difference in gays who were 1st born and 2nd born (hormones are different after your 1st child). It is difficult to tell and many small minded people who know nothing about gayness or science assume they know it all. But think, would all those gays be lying about being born gay? I mean, they are so open about everything else, why would they lie about that?

I don't know. It certainly seems like some guys are gay right from the time they are born...but I don't know if all guys have a little bit of homosexuality or not...that is an interesting opinion... Do you think that all women are born the same way too?

Well the definition of gay and straight are defined by "preference." Yes straight guys PREFER woman over men, but that is only a preference.
I don't know of a word that defines someone that absolutely would never have sex with someone of the opposite sex. Put a man in prison for life and although his preference doesn't change, his desire for sex will still result in homosexual behaviour in a great many men.
Many, many straight guys even find their buddies attractive but their religion and culture won't allow homosexual behaviour so it is never broached. -And if they have a beautiful wife, heck why bother with all the ridicule of being gay?

Sounds reasonable to me. Very few complex human behaviors (and what is more complex than the human libido?) are EITHER the result of strictly biological OR strictly environmental influences. But there does seem to be a strong biological influence; for example, one study found a 66% concordance rate in sexual orientation between identical twins reared in separate environments.

My opinion is this is a completely decided behaviour like when you eliminate you can choose to go in your instincts and eliminate when you feel like it or you can go to the toliet like everyone else. You decide if you are going to be gay or not and you choose your behaviour pattern. I don't buy the biology because most of the time when you discuss with one you will find something in their life that has drawn them to that style. They choose to go ahead and engage in sexual relations with the same sex. It may be harder for some than others but I think a truly biologically gay specimen is as rare as a hermaphordite. I think there are more gays today because it is in vogue and socially in vogue.

I think gay-ness and straight-ness are influenced by early fetal development based on the hormones present in the womb. I am no scientist; this is just a hunch and based on a lot of stuff I have read.

It's a fun combo of nature AND nurture and where you fall in the spectrum of sexuality (bewteen full on straight and full on gay) depends equally upon both of these.... Proud to be full on gay... :)

Um... appreciate the fact that you ARE a man. However, I think your rational is completely dillusional. There is no basis to your claim.
If this makes you feel better about being gay, then indulge yourself. But you are wrong.
