I believe that it really took off in the 1960's with the Haight Ashbury crowd of Hippies of California, that expanded their beliefs to classrooms and colleges. They do not teach, they indoctrinate. You are not allowed to think as an individual, but as a collective of lemmings. You dare not have an opinion different from their line of thinking.

That form of extreme peace at any cost, would allow for open borders to let even the enemy in and would not fight back to save their lives or yours. Selfish me-ism, do it if it feels good thinking that everything is relative has led to two generations not caring what happens in their own neighborhoods and have no sense of community, disrespecting other people's property. It has given rise to less morality, less education, higher unemployment, higher crime rates and incurable STDS.

This has become the New Fascism of the Twenty First Century, under the guise of Civil Rights and the liberties they are destroying in the U.S. Constitution. Animals have more rights than humans. They are eroding our personal rights one by one and our right to own property with communal living as a better option. It is not real Choice and is communistic and repressive in nature.

It does not help anyone, except those savvy enough to be paid exorbitant amounts of money as "Professional Paid Activists". They are not the grassroots activists that honestly wanted to do something positive. You will find them in the anti property rights, no smoking ban, gun control lobby and are anti war at any cost, environmentalist, eco extremists. My suggestion is to expose them for what they are.

i believe political correctness is one way in saying we should

all be polite to each other. and, try living peacably on this

planet together.

president kennedy once said, " we all breathe the same air."

he, was, so correct. to me, the statement means more than

a physical representation of something; rather, it implies

we all need to take care of each other since mortality strikes

everyone, and life is finite.

i dont know who invented political correctness, when it

sways unfairly to one group, and not another, that is the time

it is not good for society. in some ways, i have seen its

misuse.

for example, i am a white male who is kinda like a minority

today. not long ago, i had an African -American female who

verbally told me she was going to assault me. my complaint

about her got buried in some paperwork somewhere. if she

had raised a complaint about me; i dont think one needs

to be Einstein to tell you what would have happened on my job.

for African Americans, the playing field was not always fair, now

for single white males, the tide has shifted the other way..

discrimination....wherever it occurs and whenver is wrong. yes,

in my life i have been discriminated against at times. i am

trying to not become bitter over this experience, but , yes, i am.

Political correctness has its proper time and place. The problem is in that what started as a good idea has been blown WAY OUT OF PROPORTION.
Every word that is spoken has the potential to eventually offend someone.
People need to learn when to separate the intended offenses from the unintentional. Too many people want the ability to claim that they are a "victim."

It's the art of designing your conversation so as not to have any belief conflicts with whoever you're in the company of.

It's used by those who don't want to alienate others by displaying a difference of opinion, such as politicians seeking votes. These people walk a fine line and never commit to any particular belief, or opinion that is in opposition to those to whom they're speaking.

I contend that it derived from military lingo, e.g. "collateral damage' is the killing of innocent civilians, and eliminating the enemy, "with extreme prejudice" is killing them. People who talk about a loved one "passing away", is another example. Political Correctness is merely taking etiquette to the extreme.

It grows out of the suffering of the minority. It is relevant because it 's the truth. It is not repressive because we all choose from a million subjects what to say. Civilized people DEMAND it.
