I have to stay up tonight to work on a paper.
I'm drinking coffee....I usually don't go to sleep until a couple of hours from now.
But I know I'll be tired, later, and I most likely will only b able to get 2 hours of sleep if even that.

I was thinking I could take an hour nap if I really get sleepy...then wake up and work on my paper again; will that refresh me?

What can I do to stay alert and awake?

if you are going to stay up all night the best thing to do may be just to stay up eat healthy foods for energy stay away from foods that crash such as sugars chocolates just take a shower before you have to go (to class i suppose) dont use no doz or the such they may make you sick and unable to work at all taking a nap problably wont help because you wont want to get up or you may feel more tired when you do get up problably with a headaich

If you have a 24 hour store go get some No-doze or Vivarin. I work graveyards and also have a VERY active 2 year-old son so I don't always get to sleep and this helps me a lot.
