That's how tyrants always work.
Hitler was protecting Germany from the Communista, so we have to have these unpleasnt laws and a police stste.
During the Red Scare of the late '40s and early '50s some American politicians advocated unconstitutional, totalitarian and fascistic government actions.
Nixon advocated and had the government commit fascist acts to protect America from anti-war [people.
And now, Bush is doing the same thing to protect us from Muslim extremists. He's not satisfied to go out and catch them. No, we all have to have our rights taken away to prtect our freedom.
Said like every tyrant has always said it
Get a book called "It can't happen here" by Upton Sinclair. Written in the 30's it's incredibly on the nose today.
