My son is 12 weeks old. About a week ago we were both sick, me more then him. Its been a week and I am all most completely better and he still has a cough and is sneezing with a stuffy nose (when he breaths you can hear the stuffiness)and is fussy all day long. I was wondering if I should call his doctor or not to see if maybe he needs something stronger then baby tylonol? Please help.

You need to take him to the doctor...the drainage can end up causing pneumonia...which is life threatening. At the very least you should call his pediatrician and ask if there is some over the counter remedy that they can recommend.
I always found it useful to get a humidifier and use it in the Nursery when my children were sick. (You can pick one up at Wal-Mart for less than 10 dollars.) It will help your little one be able to breathe better...plus it will sooth him as well.
There is a soothing vapor bath (Johnson & Johnson) that you can use too to help open up his sinuses. (Since he is 12 weeks..you should be able to use it.)
Good luck...hope that this helps.

Keep a close eye on your Lil guy, his system is still quite delicate. You can try some Lil noses drops, can be used as often as needed, will help ease the stuffy nose and congestion. He may sneeze some w/ use of the Lil noses which is good, it means the mucus is breaking up. You have to do this several times a day to get good results. If he doesn't improve win a couple of days or there doesn't seem to be any relief call his Dr.

You should definitely call your pediatrician asap and take him in. At 12 weeks old, you don't want anything serious to happen, there are too many delicate organs still being developed to take any chances.

Not to scare you,but my child had RSV at 2 months, requiring a nebulizer and albuterol medication. Since then, he's been sick every other month and on antibiotics, etc. I hope everything's fine for your son, but go get a 2nd opinion from the doctor, he's a professional and keeping your child healthy is his job. Good luck!

Your adult body is way better equipped to fight off things such as a common cold. Your son is still developing his immune system and it will take him longer to recover from certain things. What you need to do is to take him to see his doctor just for some good old reassurance. Also strip his bed and blankets and wash them in warm or hot water. Also make sure you boil all his bottle and anything else that will come in contact with his mouth. These things hold germs....especially pacifers. I hope he is feeling better soon it would always break my heart to hear my kids stuffed up noses when they were to little to blow them. Your doctor may also suggest a saline solution for your sons nose to help break loose stuff in there. It would make it easier for him to breathe...ask his doctor about it. Good Luck

InfantsTylenol does nothing for a cough. Most doctors won't prescribe anything for a baby that is so young, at least mine won't. I would take him in to the doctor anyway. Just to be sure it's not something more serious.

If he has a temperature I would definitely call a doctor, if not, then why are you giving him tylenol?? Give him something that'll actually help his symptoms. Go to a drugstore and ask the pharmacist which products are safe for him that'll help relieve his symptoms.
