I could be shy with people I hardly know, but then I can be outgoing with most people that I know personally. I do get shy around attractive guys that I think are cute, but am outgoing towards unattractive guys that I think are average and nerdy.

I used to be so shy I'd blush immediately whenever I got the chance to speak to a boy.
Now, i'm not AS shy but still pretty shy for my age. Put it this way: In class, every time a teacher responded my remark/answer with a "good answer", "great!" or something along those lines, I blush.
Or, when a really good-looking guy orders, I kinda start losing it, thinking he's probably inspecting me closely or thinking of asking me out. (Yea, I'm nuts I know lol)

I used to be extremely shy for a number of reasons - I had overprotective parents, my hobbies and activities didn't require working with other people, and I simply enjoyed individual alone time. After growing up some, I realized it was important to balance the time spent alone and the time spent communicating with other people, and I had to communicate someway, so it became pointless to be shy, otherwise I wouldn't ever get what I want.

When I was younger I was VERY shy. Always sat in the back of the classroom and never spoke up for anything. Now that I'm older, I see how much I missed out on and I never hold back now. I am out there.

I'm not shy, I'm just the kind of person who doesn't like to be around other people much. I have a few select friends that I enjoy being around. Most people, however, bore me. And, I'm also claustrophobic, so I don't like being in crowds.

not as bad as I was in school, but I still have a hard time telling women how fine they are, when I would really like to. Once I know a woman wants to be with me, tho, I am not that shy anymore, But I have to KNOW that she really wants to be there
