Is there any way I can have my widescreen computer to play a 4:3 game on full screen while keeping the proportions? It is not a game option. I want to have my computer display the 4:3 game properly, and have blanks in the spaces not displaying the game.

There should be options in the advanced settings of your video card. For example, the Intel GMA has the option in the display settings to keep the aspect the same... see if your video adaptor software has the option to keep the aspect intact.
